Whistler Retreat | Fireplace, Hot Tub, & Views

Not ideal for longer stays. The whole house smelled rancid upon arrival from closet full of trash that hadn’t been removed from previous guest. Communicated several times with host, but still only part got picked up. We had to move it outside which we were told not to do because of bears, but smell was unbearable to leave inside. No vacuum for daily maintenance, only a broom with no dust pan. Living room furniture was so cheap and uncomfortable-like seriously, achingly uncomfortable! Cozy location and amazing front porch with swing, but the inside was seriously lacking. Bathrooms were mostly clean except for mildew on shower curtains. Towels and linens were clean. Hot tub was a selling point for us, but upon viewing, we decided not to use it as it looked very unappealing. Overall, not a terrible stay. Probably wouldn’t be bad for 2-3 days, but I wouldn’t stay again.

This house overall met our needs for 2 nights, and it was nice to be able to have our dog with us! However, the trash had not been picked up from the prior guests and was never picked up during our stay at the home. Communication was great with the hosts, but the house was not very cozy or clean upon arrival.

This is a great cabin, conveniently located near Dillsboro, Sylva, and Bryson City. Love the pet friendly amenities and the porches and hot tub.

Great property to stay at, close to everything.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing, with the feeling of seclusion, but nearby to town. 10/10 Positive: The location was amazing, we were secluded in the woods with the comforts of actually being 10 minuets from the activities we wanted to do such as the Cherokee Casino, Hikes to the falls, Bryson City, and much more. The cabin itself was cozy and quiet. Our vacation truly was the R & R that we needed.
